The Point of No Return

Aircrafts vanishing into thin air…Ships disappearing in the middle of the ocean…

Many have experienced the horror, few have lived to tell the tale. The mystery of the millennium, the entity that has baffled scientists for years, the place where man meets his maker—– The Bermuda Triangle is in fact The Point of No Return.

” The Devil’s Triangle ”  is not just a myth or folklore to scare people or be the center of attention. It’s just another name The Bermuda Triangle has notoriously acquired. It’s a region in the North Atlantic Ocean bordered by a line that stretches from Miami, Florida to San Juan, Puerto Rico and to Bermuda and back. A place where man falls prey to nature’s obscured ferocity.

Many have mysteriously disappeared in this Triangle of Doom, and yet no logical explanation have been found. A lot of theories have been put forward, but none have sufficient evidence to prove it.

USS Cyclops: In 1910, An US collier ship sailing from Bahia, Salvadore to Baltimore strangely disappeared without a trace when it stopped at Barbados on 3rd of March for supplies. The ship’s wreckage was never found nor any distress signals.

Douglas DC3: On 28th December, 1948 Douglas DC3,  a passenger airplane, cruising from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Miami, Florida vanished into thin air along with its 3 crew members and 29 passengers. Again, none could decipher a proven explanation for the disappearance.

Flight 19: December 5th, 1945 — a practice training mission lead by Commander Lt. Charles Taylor went surprisingly wrong when their on-board equipment went haywire. Charles thought he was over the Florida Keys when he sent a message to air traffic control his compass wasn’t working. Amazingly, he flew a great number of miles in a very short time which is utterly impossible with a plane like his.

WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING ??

Numerous incidents relating to the Bermuda Triangle took place over the years, but none have been properly explained. Some say paranormal activities like alien abductions have taken place other stick hellbent on equipment failure.

 WHAT CAN WE DO ??

As for regular people like us, all we can do is be mesmerized by the amazing mysteries that nature has shown us, and wait for others that have yet to unfold.

China Revolutionizes Dogfights

END TO AMERICA’S AIR INVINCIBILITY?

There was a time when America’s radar-invisible Boeing F-22 Raptor(first produced in 2005) could knock enemy jets out of the sky from 50 miles away, without the enemy pilot could even see a speck on his screen. Apparently, those days of America’s air invincibility have been shattered by the arrival of the new state-of-the-art Chinese Stealth Fighter Jet J20.

The new aircraft was tested in the presence of Chinese president Hu Jintao and American Defense Secretary Robert Gates. To Gates, this test run seemed like a hidden message about the future balance of power. The test flight sends China into an elite club, as America is the only nation to produce an operational stealth fighter jet, apart from Russia. This is simply appalling to America.

In the words of Roger Cliff, a senior political scientist at the Rand Corp. — a global analysis company,

” We have become accustomed to a world where our air power is dominant but that dominance is now in question.”

However, as amazing as this new and improved technology sounds, these jets will not be flying just yet. Chinese say they will launch these jets in large numbers in a decade or so. Up till now, radar-invisibility has been a devastating weapon in America’s arsenal, but now China has the strength in numbers and innovative technology.

CHINA IS MOVING INTO MAJOR LEAGUES OF POWER VERY SWIFTLY NOW, THIS COULD RESHAPE FUTURE CHINA-US RELATIONS, LARGELY AFFECTING THE BALANCE OF POWER . . . . .

A Stepping Stone

                     Young, curious scientists from the University of Glasgow have started uncovering the basics of creating life from inorganic chemicals, which might one day shatter the very boundaries of human potential. Professor Lee Cronin, Gardiner Chair in the College of Science and Engineering, and his dedicated team have demonstrated a way of making inorganic chemical cells or iCHELLS.

 

 

 

In the words of Professor Cronin,

 

” All life on earth is based on organic biology (i.e. carbon in the form of amino acids, nucleotides, and sugars, etc.) but the inorganic world is considered to be inanimate. What we are trying do is create self-replicating, evolving inorganic cells that would essentially be alive. You could call it inorganic biology.”

 

Researchers say the cell (which can also store electricity) could potentially be used in all sorts of applications in medicine, as sensors or to confine chemical reactions. He also adds, ” The grand aim is to construct complex chemical cells with life-like properties that could help us understand how life emerged and also to use this approach to define a new technology based upon evolution in the material world — a kind of inorganic living technology.”

If they can truly complete this pain-staking quest, it will provide incredible insights into evolution and show that it’s not just a biological process…
